We are delighted to announce that Felix Mildenberger will take over the position of General Music Director of the Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt (Oder) from the 2026/27 season.
Felix Mildenberger is one of the most distinguished conductors of his generation. As winner of the prestigious Donatella Flick Conducting Competition 2018, he has already worked with top international orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra, the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and the Deutsche Oper Berlin. He is currently Principal Guest Conductor of the Filarmonica TRT in Turin. He has also enjoyed a successful collaboration with the BSOF - he has conducted the orchestra on several occasions, impressing audiences and musicians alike.
The Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt, founded in 1842, is the largest symphony orchestra in Brandenburg and the only A-list orchestra in the region. With its varied and exciting concert programs, the BSOF is an important cultural ambassador for Brandenburg not only in Germany, but worldwide.
