We are delighted to be able to announce the general management of Sarah Wegener. With her touching musicality, her emotional depth and her vocal versatility, she has long since established a firm place for herself on the international music scene. It is particularly exciting to see how she has recently brought these qualities to life in the Wagner repertoire.
The 2025/26 season has many highlights in store. First and foremost, she will appear several times in her signature role as Sieglinde in concert performances of Wagner's Walküre: not only in Valencia (at the Palau de la Música under Alexander Liebreich) and with Patrick Hahn in Wuppertal, but also in concerts and on an extensive tour with the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig under Andris Nelsons in Leipzig, Frankfurt, Vienna and Asia. The lieder of Richard Strauss have long been an important focus of her repertoire. She will perform the Four Last Songs in Essen and at BBC Manchester.
