With Tibor Brouwer joining our team, we are gradually expanding our roster and are delighted to welcome Okka von der Damerau and Attilio Glaser, two outstanding singers of our time, to our General Management.
Okka von der Damerau is one of the leading mezzosopranos of her generation. With her powerful, nuanced voice and clear, natural diction, she brings an authentic tone to every role, creating a profound connection with her audience. In the 2025/26 season, she will be heard as Fricka (Rheingold, Walküre) at La Scala in Milan and in concert with the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia under Daniel Harding in Rome. A particular focus this season is on the works of Gustav Mahler: Das Lied von der Erde at the Musikfest Berlin, the 2nd Symphony with the Czech Philharmonic under Zubin Mehta and the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra under Karina Canellakis, as well as the 3rd Symphony in Warsaw and at the Bavarian State Orchestra’s anniversary concert for Zubin Mehta’s 90th birthday.
The German-Italian tenor Attilio Glaser captivates audiences and critics alike with his compelling stage presence and warm voice. In the 2025/26 season, he returns to the Semperoper Dresden as Don José in Nadja Loschky’s new production of Carmen and will sing Erik in Der fliegende Holländer at the Hamburg State Opera. As a member of the ensemble at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, he regularly performs leading roles such as Lohengrin, Parsifal, Gabriele Adorno, Pinkerton, and Rodolfo. Glaser is also in high demand as a concert singer. In the current season, he performs Zemlinsky’s Eine Florentinische Tragödie with the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra under Karina Canellakis at the Concertgebouw and Bruckner’s Te Deum with the Tonkünstler Orchestra Niederösterreich under Yutaka Sado at the Musikverein in Vienna.
Tibor Brouwer: I am very pleased to continue my collaboration with Okka von der Damerau and Attilio Glaser at the Künstlersekretariat am Gasteig – two extraordinary voices that combine the highest artistic excellence with their equally inspiring, yet very different, personalities.
