Chief Conductor Manfred Honeck and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra have been nominated for the Orchestra of the Year Award 2024. The prize is awarded to ensembles that have released exceptional recordings in the past year. It is the only Gramophone Award that is finally awarded by public vote.
Gramophone writes about the latest recordings:
„The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Manfred Honeck have, on many recent occasions, transfixed with recordings of inspiring impact, texture and precision, all caught in enviable audiophile sound by Reference Recordings.“
