Katharina Konradi was born in Bischkek, Kyrgyzstan, and is the first soprano from this country to have an international career as a lied, concert and opera singer.

In 2018, she made her debut as Ännchen (Der Freischütz) at the Hamburg State Opera and has been associated with the house as a permanent ensemble member since then, having previously been under contract for three years at the Hessisches Staatstheater in Wiesbaden.

She sings the important roles in her field, and other major theaters quickly became aware of the young soprano. Engagements followed as Zdenka (Arabella) at the Semperoper in Dresden, as Ein junger Hirte (Tannhäuser) at the Bayreuth Festival and at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich as Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier by Richard Strauss under the direction of Vladimir Jurowski.

In addition to productions at her home opera, the Hamburg State Opera (Fidelio, Marzelline; La nozze di Figaro, Susanna; La Bohème, Musetta; Falstaff, Nannetta), the focus of her activities in 2022/23 will be on various concert projects, including Mozart's Mass in C minor with the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, a tour with the Ensemble Arcangelo under Jonathan Cohen, New Year's Eve concerts with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra under Manfred Honeck, Mahler's 2nd Symphony with the Bamberger Symphoniker under Manfred Honeck. Mahler Symphony with the Dresden Philharmonic under Michael Sanderling, and a concert performance of Beethoven's Fidelio with the TonHalle Orchestra Zurich under Paavo Järvi.

She performs with orchestras such as the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, the Orchestre de Paris, the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, the Symphony Orchestra of the MDR or the Symphony Orchestra of the Bavarian Radio under the direction of conductors such as Thomas Hengelbrock, Manfred Honeck, Paavo Järvi, Kent Nagano, Daniel Harding and Gustavo Dudamel. In December 2022, she will participate in the annual traditional concert Christmas in Vienna at the Vienna Konzerthaus.

Lied interpretation is a special passion of the young soprano. She regularly gives recitals at international venues such as the Schubertiada in Vilabertran, the Schubertiade in Hohenems/Schwarzenberg, the Wigmore Hall in London, the Zarzuela Theater in Madrid, the Boulez Hall in Berlin or the Konzerthaus in Vienna. With the Trio Gaspard and the Schumann Quartet she shares an artistically fruitful collaboration in chamber music. In 2016 she won the German Music Competition and is funded by the BBC under the New Generation Artist program until the end of 2021.

In March 2021, her highly acclaimed CD "Liebende," on which she is accompanied by Daniel Heide, was released by AVI Music with songs by Strauss, Mozart and Schubert. In March 2022, the Chandos label released the CD "Russian Roots" with Katharina Konradi and the Trio Gaspard.
